We are a new rescue composed of volunteers with 10 years of experience working with other rescues. We will be focusing on rescuing animals from southern states where overpopulation is a huge problem, and finding them homes in the NJ/NY Metro area. Our board members and volunteers have extensive fundraising experience and contacts as well so we are confident the organization can support itself through adoption fees and donations. We do have extensive experience with rescuegroups.org working with the previous organizations so we are excited to open our own account. Note that we just submitted our completed 1023 form and payment to the IRS this week. We expect approval in 4-6 months and would like to use this time to get our RG account set up and linked to our website which is also in progress, such that on the first day we open the doors we will have dogs in the system ready to adopt and everything will be functioning smoothly.
