NC Shelter Rescue INC

Greetings!
We are NC Shelter Rescue, Inc. and we would like to introduce ourselves to you and let you know a little bit about our rescue mission. NC Shelter Rescue, Inc. was founded by Susan Barrett and Diane Stewart both NC residents who then added Sharon Snow another NC Resident – in response to the overwhelming needs of the homeless and unwanted companion animals crowding our North Carolina shelters and the correctable reasons for this predicament. Our rescue’s activities will focus on three broad areas

· Rescue of animals who are discarded and facing euthanasia
· Re-homing of animals who are in our shelters, or in danger of being turned in to shelters or abandoned by their owners, and
· Awareness and Education for the public on the many issues our companion animals face as well as assistance with solutions aimed at redressing the negative effects of these widespread problems

We expect to provide educational materials and assist shelters with instituting pro-active, affordable programs that will result in a decrease in our shelter numbers and thus, a decrease in the out-of-control euthanasia rate in North Carolina. We would enjoy the opportunity to speak with you to discuss your facility’s specific challenges and your community’s greatest needs, as well as explore ways that we might develop a working relationship to help our organizations grow and work together toward a healthier and happier outcome for our companion animals.
