Our Mission: The Primary mission of the Greenbrier Humane Society is to protect animals from neglect, abuse and exploitation: to advocate for their interest and welfare: and to inspire awareness and compassion for all living things. Our Goals: Adoption â?? Save as many animals as possible through adoption and foster homes by placing the animals with responsible caregivers. Spay/Neuter â?? Promote zero population growth through the neuter and spay of animals. Educational Programs â?? Educate the local community and area schools about the responsibility and rewards of owning a companion animal and facilitate the awareness and prevention of animal neglect and abuse. Cruelty/Abuse Prevention â?? Investigate the cruelty, abuse and neglect of animals and facilitate their rescue to the best of our ability. Responsible Pet Ownership â?? To ensure that state, county and city animal laws and ordinances are abided and enforced. Shelter â?? Provide a humane shelter for unwanted or lost animals in the local community.
