Hi, I'm Petal!  I'm a beautiful, loving, 3 year old, 25 pound Beagle mix looking for my furever family. 


 


I'm such a good girl, I don't know where to begin!  I LOVE all people, kids, cats and dogs-doesn't matter the size or age I am sweet and friendly to them all.  I am completely potty trained, and I'm a master leash walker! I really love to go outside in my yard and play with the other dogs. I know lots of commands; sit, wait, outside AND off.  I'm also really quiet and mellow, except when there's a knock at the door, I like to alert my family that we have a visitor.  I get so excited when I play with stuffed toys that I tend to shred them, whoops! But give me a chew toy like Elk Antlers and I am the happiest girl!


 


I have a bit of separation anxiety and I do not like to be crated, it makes me nervous and I get a bit destructive.  If you leave the house I would much prefer to be gated in a room with my furry friends.  My furever home will need to have another calm and easy going dog to ease my anxiety.  As long as I have another pup in my furever home to provide me some companionship when I'm alone I will be comfortable and happy.

ADOPTION EVENTS:  




Adoption events are updated as the foster home RSVP's to attend. Check back for updates on which events they will be attending. Please understand that all of our pets are in volunteer foster homes and sometimes "life" happens and the foster family cannot make it to their scheduled adoption event. If you are traveling from a far distance to meet a specific animal, please understand we cannot guarantee event attendance. You may wish to consider applying and setting up a private appointment. Private appointments are only scheduled after an application is submitted and approved.

Note: In most circumstances Underdog Rescue will only adopt within 60 miles of Minneapolis, MN.

FOSTER CARE:





All of our animals are fostered in individual homes or doggie daycare facilities. While they are in our care, they are part of our families and given lots of love. We work on training, crate-training and socialization prior to adoption. Each animal's behavior is evaluated and we have a sense of its temperament and personality. We look for adopters who will give each animal the wonderful life and permanent home that he or she deserves. NUTRITION:





Nutrition is vital to the rehabilitation and life-long health of our pets.  All of our foster animals are fed a premium diet such as NutriSource, Canidae, Orijen, Nature's Variety, Fromm, Pure Vita, Stella and Chewy's, Primal, or balanced raw diet.  All adopters are required to continue providing premium diets for the life of the animal.
