We welcome specific questions. Due to high volume of applications, we may not be able to respond immediately. Your patience is appreciated.
If an animal is on our website, it is still available but might have other applicants. If you find yourself interested in one of our animals, it is in your best interest to submit an application immediately. Submitting an application does not commit you to any animal, but does get you a head start with the adoption approval process.
We do not schedule meetings until you have an approved application.
As an all-volunteer, foster home based organization, ARF does not have a facility where applicants can visit our animals. The majority of our dogs and cats are brought to adoption events by our volunteers. We invite everyone to come to our events, but we must give priority to pre-approved applicants.
Female, spayed, about 2 years old (as of September 2017), microchipped, up to date on vaccinations, currently in a foster home, will be making appearances at ARF Adoption Events (see http://www.arf-il.org/events.html or https://www.facebook.com/A.R.F.Illinois for times and locations), adoption fee $110.
Beatrice came to ARF from Chicago Animal Control. She contracted an upper respiratory infection but, with the care of her foster mom, she has recovered and is now a healthy girl. She lives with a dog and other cats and seems to accept them as housemates. Beatrice does love her humans and will follow them wherever they go and she enjoys sleeping with them at night. If you are looking for a sweet, loving furry companion, Beatrice may just be your girl!
If you are interested in meeting Beatrice, you can fill out an online adoption application at http://www.arf-il.org/application.html Once your application has been approved, an ARF volunteer will contact you to arrange a meeting with the cat.
