If an animal is on our website, it is still available but might have other applicants. If you find yourself interested in one of our animals, it is in your best interest to submit an application immediately. Submitting an application does not commit you to any animal, but does get you a head start with the adoption approval process.
We do not schedule meetings until you have an approved application.
As an all-volunteer, foster home based organization, ARF does not have a facility where applicants can visit our animals. The majority of our dogs and cats are brought to adoption events by our volunteers. We invite everyone to come to our events, but we must give priority to pre-approved applicants.
Female, spayed, about 1 year old (as of January 2018), microchipped, up to date on vaccinations, currently in a foster home, MAY (see bio for explanation) be making appearances at ARF Adoption Events (see http://www.arf-il.org/events.html or https://www.facebook.com/A.R.F.Illinois for times and locations), adoption fee $110.
This is Miss ALY. She is a little cutie pie of a girl. Aly spent several months in a cage at a shelter in down-state Illinois and is so enjoying the freedom of being in a home. She is curious and playful but loves to be petted and cuddles with us in bed at night. Aly is about one year old and is full grown at a petite 8 pounds.
Aly is spayed, chipped, and up to date on her shots. She may be available at the adoption events at the Wheaton Pet Smart, but if returning to a cage is too traumatic for her we will introduce her to you in our home in Wheaton. Please fill out an on line application ahead of time and this darling little girl could be snuggling in your bed very soon.
