Helen is a spunky little old lady that is deaf and almost completely blind.She has a few good teeth left and the ability to sniff out treats and claim them as her own even with her deficits. Helen would like nothing better than a person of her own with a lap made for sitting on! If you have a lap and it is currently looking for a small dog to keep it warm then please consider Helen to fill that spot.
I would say this little one has had her fair share of an adventurous life. For starters she ended up being picked up at a busy intersection in VB where she was on a little walkabout...but remember, she's 10 pounds, blind, deaf and elderly. Good grief Helen. If anyone deserves a shot at living out their life with a family that will keep them safe, it's you!
Helen is listed as a JRT mix and although we don't know exactly how old she is, we have her listed as 8+ years. I believe she does fine with other dogs, but bring yours along just to make sure they will get along. Although I made light of Helen's situation I would like to be honest and say that she isn't doing wonderful in the shelter. She is confused and she has started to spin in her kennel. She really needs a soft place to land where she can get back to being her spunky, almost toothless, perfect old lady self.
