1801-0785 Mika the Dog needs a home
Her black furred face is split by white creating two interesting yet unequal sides of a mask. Her body, bright black, is shiny and smooth. She has found herself back in the kennel. Now and for the last 3 years known as Mika but also known way back when at VBACAC as Britches, this little girl hangs out, jumping around the cage when she hears someone in the kennel until the moment you actually open her cage door. She backs up as if telling you to please go slow with her. I took her cues. I went slow. I gingerly harnessed her and then she perked up! Our pace picked up a bit outside as she stayed close to my side while we walked down the sidewalk. She looked all around but I noticed her tail stayed low, almost between her legs. She was clearly still nervous. But we walked along stopping here and there for some pets. It may take her time to warm up to new people. But she’s worth it! And if you choose her, you’re worth it! We are told Mika is 5 years old. She’s loving and loves attention. She is house trained as well. Mika is good with children provided she is properly introduced to smaller children. Mika prefers to be an only pet, no cats or dogs please! Mika is in a back kennel waiting for a space in adoption so if you don’t see her, please just ask! Her id number is 1801-0785.
