Meet Hubble & Galaxy! Hubble is a shorthair Grey/Black Tabby and is blind. Galaxy is a medium hair Nebelung/Russian Blue mix with golden-green eyes. The Nebelung is a rare breed of domestic cat. The name Nebelung is German and means “creature of the mist,” a reference to the cat’s shimmering silvery-blue coat that seems to float over his body. These two are the best of buds. They love wrestling and playing together. Though Hubble is blind, by watching them play together you would never know it. They love chasing each other up and down their cat tree. When playtime is over they both want to be in their foster’s lap for a nap. Hubble & Galaxy are very bonded, and must stay together.
Hubble’s story: Hubble was found under an abandoned home in Ventura, by a real estate agent. She quickly realized that Hubble was blind. She took him to the vet and the vet confirmed that he would never be able to see completely. It is possible he sees shadows. Hubble will need to be given eye drops every day for the rest of his life. The drops help to relieve dry eyes. The lady that found him knew she wouldn’t be able to keep him, so she contacted Greyfoot, and luckily there was a foster available to take him in.
Galaxy’s story: Galaxy was dump from a car at a park in Bakersfield, CA. A volunteer from The Cat People rescue group, saw him being dumped, and immediately scooped him up. The foster from Greyfoot that had Hubble, also works with The Cat People. She wanted a buddy for Hubble and felt that Galaxy would make the purrfect friend for Hubble.
Hubble and Galaxy will be available for adoption by mid November. They must be adopted together. Their adoption donation fee of $150.00 is for both of them together. Kids must be 12 years or older.
