LAKOTA WILL CATCH YOUR ATTENTION RIGHT AWAY. Her bright blue eyes stare deeply into your soul. Her smile lights up the room. And her gorgeous thick white with black on the top fur still feels soft and very protective. LAKOTA is a 12 year old husky who had been with her family for 10 years. She was a joy to them, a part of the family until one day she became startled and turned on the young child in the home. You see, LAKOTA had become somewhat deaf and from what we were told the child spooked her. They could not take any chances so they surrendered her to us so we could find a more appropriate home where LAKOTA can live in peace, away from the chaos of kids and commotion which can easily startle and frighten older deaf animals. LAKOTA is house trained and great on a leash. She loves to go for walks and will help make yours more enjoyable with her at your side taking in the fresh air and exercise. As a husky, she probably doesn't mind the cold either so she'll keep you on your schedule even during the cold months. LAKOTA is not a fan of other dogs or cats so we're looking for a home where she will be an only pet, get all the attention, and enjoy the luxury of having no children around to disturb her.
