Adopt a Pit Bull Terrier / Mixed (short coat)
1801-1507 Zeus the Dog needs a home
Meeting ZEUS for the first time brought a huge smile to my face! I was tired to begin with but upon entering his cage, Zeus was so wiggly and friendly and silly I couldn't help myself but smile and laugh. Zeus is still basically a baby at only 1 1/2 years young. He is friendly and seems to love humans! He let me handle him and harness him swimmingly, well, except for the fact that he was squirming around so much I had to maneuver myself and the harness all over in order to click him in! He was incredibly happy to be led outside. He went potty right away, most likely signifying he's house trained. He walked well on the leash albeit pulling here and there which I've mentioned before is expected when the dogs are stuck in cages for so many hours every day. Zeus came even more alive in the yard as he ran around, seemingly laughing as he bounced about the agility yard around the obstacles he encountered scattered throughout the yard. He was happy! He was jubilant as he picked up a rope toy and teased me with it. I chased him. He teased me. He did exchange for a treat but then wanted the toy again. When I would call him and he would come running to me, couldn't get close enough to me for some love! He loves his rump scratched! We have seen behaviors which lead us to believe he is not good with cats so no cats for Zeus please! We're not sure how Zeus feels about other dogs so bring yours in for a meet and greet.
