Hello, my name is Queso and I am 9 years old and weigh about 9 pounds. 

Life in a home is very exciting and I have done great at adjusting to it. I am a happy little dog but sometimes a little unsure of new things.  I love it when my humans when they get home from work and also feeding time is the best! 

When we go outside, I like to roam the yard and look for little bird seeds and other teeny tiny morsels. I go to the bathroom outside and also can use potty pads; I do great with a routine and am hoping to get this house breaking thing down soon.

You guessed it... I love myself a good meal! Again, I'll let out some beautiful barks to let you know! My favorite thing to do is to eat, chew on raw bones, and sleep! During meal time, I will wiggle my whole body. I am a champion wiggle butt. I have luxating patellas (pretty common for my breed/size) and there's nothing that needs to be done about them right now, except avoid long walks. I love going on little walks and never want to be left behind.

I sleep in bed near my foster mom and will lie on the couch with her. I may not always enjoy being cradled in a set of arms, but I truly am thrilled to be in your presence and enjoy getting pets. It's so nice to be loved.  

I can be nervous around people and do best when folks approach me slowly

. I would LOVE (and require) another dog companion to keep me company. They can continue to teach me how to be brave. And I will teach them how to wiggle. I live with some pups and a kitty right now and enjoy being their little shadow! 

I am happy and affectionate and simply want to be able to share everything with my friends and new family to-be! It will take me some time to trust in a new home, possibly several months, but I promise, my love for you is absolutely worth the wait.

Many of our dogs are rescued from commercial breeders where they spent their lives getting comfort from their canine friends.  In turn, most require another companion dog in their forever home in order for them to feel safe. If you are interested in a particular dog, and do not currently have a dog residing with you, please understand that your home might not be the right fit for many of our dogs.
