1710-1230 Joe the Dog needs a home
OWNER NOT HOME ENOUGH. The reason for surrender sticks in my head. After reading this I look to see how long JOE was with this family. His whole 3 years! And I just wonder what changed to have his family, the only one JOE knew, after 3 years of him being with them, to give him up. Life happens and sometimes, many times, our pets are involuntary participants caught up in our web of life. So 3 year old JOE sits in a cage waiting, hopefully not too long, until another family falls in love with him and makes him a member of their family. He'll adapt. He'll adjust. Given time and attention and patience, JOE will conform. JOE is house trained and good with some dogs. He mostly likes the bigger dogs... and he likes to play! He had a ball running around the barnyard chasing tennis balls, sometimes picking them up and carrying them, sometimes not. JOE did zoomies all over the grass, coming close but not too close to me as I stood trying to get photos of him whenever I could. JOE made me laugh...a lot! JOE loves to play and he loves to run. He is a rascal who would not let me harness him back up when it was time for us to go back inside. He's smart and he knew if he came near me, his fun was over. And so he just ran around and around me with a huge smile on his face. Joe knows sit, down and paw. We are told he would be great with a big yard and another dog to play with. JOE is fun and silly and playful. If you are looking for a dog to be an active member of your family, give JOE a chance!
