Adopt a Pit Bull Terrier / Mixed (short coat)

SWEET AS A PIE, CUTE AS A BUTTON!  It's beyond me how no one came to reclaim this little girl we called Little Foot when she first appeared at the Virginia Beach Animal Care and Adoption Center a year and a half ago.  She was a stray, found alone, roaming the streets, or maybe she just decided to take a stroll on a nice day without her people because after spending time with her, you will see she loves humans! She wouldn't just run off. No way. This little girl loves to go for walks with her people and she loves belly rubs.  The spring in her step is alive and happy. She smiles when walking along the trail.  She wants to be near you, she wants to play with you. In the barnyard she ran and ran! Snow on the ground didn't deter her one bit. She ran, she chased tennis balls, and she ran some more.  She even knows basic commands.  She was adopted and we were all thrilled until just the other day when we saw her smiling face, yes still smiling face, behind the cage bars once again.  As it turns out, her adopted family was moving into a house where other dogs lived and the family had since found out she was not willing to share her home with another dog.  She prefers to be an only dog.  So here she is again, looking for a new family to call her own who will keep her as the only dog, only pet actually because she's not a fan of cats either.  But we did learn a little more about Little Foot. First, her new name is ROXY.  And ROXY loves kids.  She is warm and friendly and loves to cuddle with you. She will try her best to get in bed with you, too. ROXY loves to run and play.  We also learned ROXY may not be fully house trained. She may still have accidents for whatever reason so a new family for ROXY must be patient and willing to work with her.  If you are looking for a great girl, not a perfect girl because no one if perfect (!) come on out and meet our little ROXY AKA LITTLE FOOT.  She is currently in a back kennel waiting for a spot in adoption so if you don't see her, please just ask to meet her.  ROXY's id number is 1712-1614.
