Adopt a American Bulldog / Pit Bull Terrier / Mixed (short coat)

This beautiful, snorty hippo is Taz! He is a 3 year old Bulldog/Pit Bull mix.  Taz is a short, squatty meatball who is just a joy to be around!  This boy came to Fuzzy Pawz Rescue from a local shelter because he is some allergies that are easier to treat in a home rather than in a shelter environment.

Taz LOVES people. He hasn’t meet one yet that he hasn’t cuddled up to.  Taz gets along with other dogs, but he does better with another relaxed, easy-going dog in the home.  No cats, please-they are not for him!

Taz is good on walks…he pulls a bit in the beginning, but then will fall into step and enjoys being outside. He is a great co-pilot & enjoys going for rides. He has no problem just waiting in the car while you run errands. Taz doesn’t play with toys much, but likes to chew on bones & ropes. He get excited when you come home and will grab you a toy, bone or even a sock to present while he prances around you. He’s such a wonderful greeter! Taz is great when left alone with the other dogs in the house and is not destructive.

Taz knows a few commands like sit, stay, down, and he’s house-trained and will sit at the back door to be let out. He gets pretty excited with treats, so he’s working on taking them softly from your hands. 

This boy will need a high quality grain-free food and is currently taking Apoquel for his allergies.  He may need to stay on the Apoquel daily for life which runs about $2 a pill. It is possible that the allergy is to something in the food (like a grain, or chicken) in which case he could come off of his allergy medications once the allergy trigger is figured out.  However this can take a few months to figure out and is something that Taz’s new family and their vet can work on.

Taz is neutered, vaccinated and microchipped.  He will come with his eye meds and a prescription for more.



Taz’s adoption fee is $200 to help off-set some of his medical costs.
