Adopt a Pit Bull Terrier (short coat)

We had heard we were receiving a little pittie girl with the name of Vittoria. We didn't know too much about her but were told to please be on the lookout and make sure she was ok. I was walking around the medium adoption kennel the other day when I saw one of the cutest friendliest smiling faces looking up at me!  I glanced at her name and it was Vittoria!  I knew immediately I had to walk her!  She was wiggling all over!  Harnessed up and good to go, we walked outside. She was so sweet and curious. She was sniffing everything. She came right back to me if I stopped. It was clear she loved attention and was very affectionate.  We are not sure how long Vittoria had been with this family who surrendered her but they reported to us she ended up not doing so well with the other pets in the house.  They felt it best she find a new home where she is numero uno and will get all the attention from her humans!  She seems house trained although she may need a refresher course after spending time in the shelter.  Vittoria is estimated to be 1-5 years old and said to be a real sweetheart! She is eager to please you and knows some commands including sit, down and give. She was great on the leash even though she pulled a little out of excitement and curiosity about this whole new environment around her.  She is a small to medium size so she is easy to handle and she's so easy going which makes it doubly easy to be around her!  Easy girl!  One thing to take note of is that we were told she showed some aggression or guarding when it came to her food, toys and water.  Shelter staff has not been able to replicate this behavior but it is something to be aware of and considered a possibility by any potential adopter.  Vittoria is a young adult, a sweet and friendly girl looking for a special new human family to make her one of theirs.  Vittoria is currently in our medium dog adoption kennel and her id number is 1801-1552.  If you don't see her, please just ask!  Thank you for considering adoption!
