Adopt a American Staffordshire Terrier / Mixed (short coat)

Y’all they named me Butterbean cuz I am buttery and smooth and have some white on me like a bean, I think.  But I am gonna admit to you, Sack of Potatah’s mighta been a more fittin’ name for me, cuz I will make like a 70 pound sack of ‘taters if you want me to do sumpthin’ like go for a walk, go outside, go for a jog……..nope, I will just stay right here and potatah up this here couch.  I am a San Antonio native dumped in the smaller rural area called Pleasanton.  It ain’t pleasant. I am an older gal, the Vet paperwork says 5 years, but by the looks of me, I’d add a few to that.  I also have this thing in my joints called arthritis and that’s one of the reasons you won’t catch me raisin’ my paw to join you on your walkathon. It is also the reason I am sometimes sporadically grumpy to other dogs in my foster home. Yes, I am slightly irritable, you will see how it is once you are my age.  The proof is in the puddin’ though and by puddin’ I mean photos, look at me there how much I LOVE people. ‘Member, I am really sweet like sugar snap peas glazed in maple syrup, as long as you aren’t tryina’ get me to do sumpthin’.  If you are a people and wanna do stuff to me, go right ahead, rub my BELLY all you want, all day long, but I am not movin’. My relationship status with felines is complicated, but who’s isn’t.  I kinda wanna play with them, but I also kinda wanna bite them, so they are recommending I go to a non-feline home.  I am potty trained and don’t potty up in my kennel, but with the recent rains, there may have been a few times I did go potty inside. I am not gonna sugar coat this for you……..I do NOT know any basic commands, you can yell “sit” all dilly day long, I won’t. I could perhaps be lured with treats to learn some of your words, perhaps. I have been dumped and changed hands a few times, so I really need an adopter that understands that arthritis can make a dog grumpy and somewhat like a lump on log.  I WILL LOVE you like nobody’s business and that has to count for sumpthin’. Are you the right person for me?

GOD'S DOGS Rescue, in San Antonio TX, does not have a shelter - ALL of our dogs are raised in foster homes in the San Antonio area. UPON adoption this dog/pup will be transported to you in YOUR area!!

Each dog comes spayed or neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations that are appropriate for their age, micro-chipped, heart worm tested and on current on monthly flea/tick and heart worm preventative. Medical records will come with each dog at the time of adoption.

****Please realize that breed mix and size when grown are guesstimates based on the dog/pup's characteristics and coloring, unless we have mother/father in our rescue...*****

ALL OF THIS IS INCLUDED IN THE ADOPTION FEE OF $300.00 FOR LOCAL ( Local is in the state of Texas)! Medical records will come with each dog at the time of adoption.  IF THIS IS AN OUT OF STATE ADOPTION, TRANSPORT TO YOU is included in the adoption fee of $500.00 We transport all over the country!!
