Adopt a American Bulldog / Mixed (short coat)
1801-0575 Don Cherry the Dog needs a home
Don Cherry the person is a retired professional Canadian hockey player turned hockey commentator. Don Cherry the dog is available for adoption from VBACAC. Don Cherry the man is well known for his interesting choices of suits he wears. Don Cherry the dog is an American Bully with a cherry eye he sports. Yes, we admit it. The eye was a big help in choosing a name for this big boy found stray back in January. But it's all good! Don Cherry the dog is a friendly boy. He is warm and welcoming from the start. He is happy to meet you, happy to let you harness him up and lead him outside to the great outdoors. Don C seems to like everyone! He wants to meet you and the next person and the next. He walks pretty well on the leash pulling a little in his haste to explore and travel. Don C loves tennis balls and he loves to run around in this silly way where he looks as though he's hopping over the grass. Don C seems to be house trained. He does have a sad look about him, rarely smiling. His eyes seem to be red, runny, droopy even which don't help his cause. But this is just a facade. Don C is a happy, fun-loving and silly boy. I caught a few smiles while we were outside and they were priceless! The cherry eye is very visible in his right eye which from my own understanding causes no pain nor any vision impairment. It's just a thing, making our Don Cherry a very special boy! I really had an enjoyable time with him as we walked along and I thought how wonderful he would be as a walking or jogging companion for someone lucky enough to bring him into their home as a family member. Don C is estimated to be a young adult 1-5 years old. We are not sure how he feels about other dogs so bring yours in for a meet and greet! He does seem like he'd make a great family pet so go ahead and bring your kids in to meet him! With other dogs and children though, supervision is key! We suggest no cats for this boy. Don C is currently in our large dog adoption kennel but if you happen to miss him, please just ask for him! Someone will bring him out to you. His id number is 1801-0575. Thank you for considering adoption!
