FL/Charlie the Dog needs a home
We don't know how Charlie ended up in a shelter in Georgia but we do know he was later transferred to a kill shelter in Tallahassee, FL then to another shelter in Sanford, FL. So Charlie already has quite a few miles logged in before making his way to central Florida but we couldn't be happier he's with us. Charlie is about 6 years old and is one of the best dogs his foster family has ever had. He's quite a bit overweight and was probably fed a lot of junk food or allowed to graze all day in his previous life. He's now on a weight management formula dog food with added vitamins to help him slim down. Charlie is also recovering from allergic dermatitis from something he may have been allergic to at any of the 3 shelters where he lived for the past several weeks. He's getting soothing baths and fish oil supplements to help restore this handsome boy's coat. Even though Charlie is a bit overweight, he is very active and playful. He loves to play with toys and to run and roll around in the grass. He is fabulous with the 4 other Brittanys in his foster home....loves to play with all of them! Charlie is a very easy going guy who follows his foster mom around like her shadow and just loves being with people. He would be a great companion for an older couple who are home most of the day or retirees. Charlie will need a secure fenced yard to get his exercise. He pulls hard on leash and will need work with that. He's housebroken and crate trained. Charlie is located in central Florida and can be transported up to 1,400 miles with the adopter driving the last 100 miles. His adoption fee is $350. For more information, contact [email protected].
