We are small local Municipal Animal Control facility with only 5 pens, that does not accept dogs from outside of our city limits. All stray dogs that are picked up running loose on city streets are held for 5 days to see the owner comes looking for them. Sadley to say that most of the dogs that are picked up have been brought into town and dumped out. With limited space most of the time we don't have time to hold them any longer than their 5 days, and we have to make room for incoming.
