All lost dogs and cats that are picked up by The Village of Los Ranchos Animal Control are taken to the West Side Animal Shelter at the end of the day if they have no identification tags or collars. The animals have a five day holding period at the shelter, then at least a five day adoption period (they are held for a longer period if space allows.)
