As we are dedicated to making life better for the Upper Valley's unwanted, abused, abandoned, and lost dogs and cats, all new arrivals at our shelter are vaccinated against contagious diseases; provided food, shelter and veterinary care.
Because indiscriminate dog and cat breeding leads to millions of unwanted and abandoned animals each year, the Society has a strong commitment to the practice of spaying and neutering pets. UVHS spays and neuters shelter animals before adopting them into new homes.
To ensure a good home, prospective owners are carefully screened to assure responsibility and a lifetime commitment to their new companions.
