The Union County Humane Society is a 501c3 organization dedicated to the prevention of cruelty to animals through sheltering, education, sterilization, and legislation. We currently operate a small sheltering facility with an all volunteer staff on property we lease at a private residence.We would kindly ask that you call for an appointment before coming to meet our adoptable animals, so as not to inconvenience the people who live there. We have recently purchased 20 acres of property nearby and are in the process of raising funds to build a permanent facility. The Union County Humane Society receives little funding from County or city govt. and is dependant on donations from caring friends like you. Our adoption fee of $ 80.00 dollars includes the following; first vaccination, deworming, spay/neuter, and microchipping. Our adult dogs are heartworm tested and on prevention and adult cats are FELV and FIV tested. All cats are adopted as inside only pets. Any dog to be kept as outside pet must have fenced in yard .All potential adopters must first complete an adoption application before being considered.
