The Aryan Molossus
Once a Warrior, Today a Loyal Companion and a Family-Protector
Should you ever decide that you need a big dog, with an imposing posture, which can look threatening and majestic at the same time, the Aryan Molossus is definitely one breed that you must take into consideration.
The Armant
The Egyptian Dog with a Lot of Love to Give
To some of you, the Armant is better known as the “Egyptian Sheepdog” and, just as the name suggests it, it was bred to be a herding dog. However, in ancient times, it was used mostly as a guard dog. This breed is originally from Egypt and named after the town of Armant. Its loyalty and agility are the two main characteristics which make this dog special.
The Atlas Terrier
The Small Dog With a Massive Dose of Energy
At a glimpse, the Atlas Terrier can be easily mistaken with the Jack Russell Terrier. However, there are some differences that may help you tell these two cousins apart. Before deciding to buy or adopt a dog of this breed, there are some things that you have to take into consideration. Unfortunately, this is quite a rare breed of dogs in our days.
Anglos-Francaises de Petite Venerie
It Is Impossible Not to Love Them
Anglos-Francaises de Petite Venerie are the smallest dogs in the Anglos-Francais category. However, the name „Petite”, meaning „small”, is not at all referring to the size of the dogs, but to the game they are after. Even if they've been around since the 16th century, today, these dogs are not easy to find. So if you have decided to adopt one, you can be sure that you will have a unique pet.

Tigers, lions and many other big cats have lost their home in the wild.
Human encroachment has destroyed a vast majority of their wild habitats. Humans brought these magnificent animals into captivity for many reasons and now captivity may be the only way to save these animals from extinction. No matter what their fate is in the wild, we have a responsibility here in "America's Backyard" to care for the many big cats that are in need of a home.
The problems facing these amazing felines is as great as the felines themselves.
Originally mankind was entrusted and charged with the stewardship to look after these great cats within their natural ranges. After having their natural habitats destroyed and being taken to the brink of extinction from unmanaged hunting and habitat destruction, we now have to take a hard look at those held in captivity and realize we have an entrusted role - we ALL have been given a second opportunity to help these amazing creatures.
Tiger Creek Wildlife Refuge (TCWR) is a big cat sanctuary that was developed in 1997, founded in 1998 (The Year of the Tiger), and officially opened to the public on May 15, 1999. The refuge was started by Brian Werner and Terri Werner. Tiger Creek Wildlife Refuge operates as a registered assumed name and is a division of Tiger Missing Link Foundation (TMLF). The facility is dedicated to the Memory of Nasaba, a Lion Cub who we continue to miss even to this day!
Tiger Creek is nestled in the gentle rolling hills and valleys of the piney woods of East Texas. Just 490 feet above sea level at 32 degrees, 31.373 minutes North by 95 degrees, 15.824 minutes West, the site is heavily wooded with Oaks, Hickory, Pines and Dog Wood Trees and is divided by a spring fed creek named Tiger Creek. The facility is run by 4 employees, a small staff of volunteers, and its board members. Tiger Creek currently is in the growth stage working towards creating larger more natural habitats for the resident cats.
