The purpose of the Roanoke River Humane Society is to: Create a sheltered environment that people in Martin, Washington and Bertie counties can bring pets to when they can no longer care for them. Screen the pet for adoption suitability. Provide the pet with the best possible care from participating veterinarians. Have the pet spayed or neutered from a participating veterinarian in our spay and neuter program. Ultimately place the pet in a suitable and loving environment.
