Animal Rescue Foundation, Inc. (ARF) is a non profit, non destroy shelter for abandoned, abused and unwanted cats and dogs. Because we are a non-destroy shelter, these cats and dogs will always have a home at ARF if they need it, but our goal is to place them with loving families and give them the security of a warm and happy home environment.
ARF is governed by a Board of Directors. We are privately run and are not associated with other animal shelters. Our shelter is maintained by a caretaker, who resides on the premises, and volunteers. ARF volunteers give their time to help walk, groom, and feed the cats and dogs, socialize with the animals (many of whom come to us abused and neglected), do general repairs around the shelter, and meet and interview prospective adopters.
Our volunteers also organize and run the many fundraising events that support ARF's efforts in maintaining the shelter and providing for the animals. These include food drives, tag sales, walk-a-thons, and many other events.
