The Aryan Molossus
Once a Warrior, Today a Loyal Companion and a Family-Protector

Should you ever decide that you need a big dog, with an imposing posture, which can look threatening and majestic at the same time, the Aryan Molossus is definitely one breed that you must take into consideration.

The Armant
The Egyptian Dog with a Lot of Love to Give

To some of you, the Armant is better known as the “Egyptian Sheepdog” and, just as the name suggests it, it was bred to be a herding dog. However, in ancient times, it was used mostly as a guard dog. This breed is originally from Egypt and named after the town of Armant. Its loyalty and agility are the two main characteristics which make this dog special.

The Atlas Terrier
The Small Dog With a Massive Dose of Energy

At a glimpse, the Atlas Terrier can be easily mistaken with the Jack Russell Terrier. However, there are some differences that may help you tell these two cousins apart. Before deciding to buy or adopt a dog of this breed, there are some things that you have to take into consideration. Unfortunately, this is quite a rare breed of dogs in our days.

Anglos-Francaises de Petite Venerie
It Is Impossible Not to Love Them

Anglos-Francaises de Petite Venerie are the smallest dogs in the Anglos-Francais category. However, the name „Petite”, meaning „small”, is not at all referring to the size of the dogs, but to the game they are after. Even if they've been around since the 16th century, today, these dogs are not easy to find. So if you have decided to adopt one, you can be sure that you will have a unique pet.

Welcome to Sky’s the Limit Horse Rescue. Our goal is to give horses and burros a second chance at living a healthy and loving life. The staff here at Sky’s the Limit Horse Rescue have a combined 25 + years of experience dealing particularly in problem, abused, neglected and sick horses and burros. Although we have a special spot in our heart for wild mustangs and burros and work closely with the BLM (Bureau of Land Management) with their 'hard to adopt' animals, we accept all breeds in need.

Sky's the Limit Horse Rescue was formed after a former harness pacer from the racetrack, Sky, who had given her life to racing for her owners, was turned over to us after her racing career ended at the age of 4 1/2. She has been re-trained out of her racing patterns and has become our organization's mascot, lesson horse for both children and adults, and child's gymkhana "babysitter". We are in hopes that one day we will be able to purchase a cart and harness for her to teach people how to drive. A special thanks to John and Leslie for placing Sky with our organization. She makes such a dramatic impact on all who visit her.

We are strongly committed to supporting and upholding the concepts of humane and ethical treatment of horses. We promote a concept which allows the horse to perform within its capacity, under humane conditions, as determined by an experienced, knowledgeable horse person. We also work to provide horse owners with information regarding the safe and humane upkeep of not just domesticated horses, but wild horses as well through it's continuing educational programs. We feel that the key to preventing horse abuse and neglect is through education with seminars on proper care and feeding for your horse, training with some well-known domestic and wild horse trainers, how to care for wounds, emergency preparedness as well as several other hands on clinics.

Since we are not "federally funded", adoptions, fundraisers and donations from corporate and private individuals will be our main source of funding that will keep our organization running. Such fundraisers will include poker rides, overnight camp trips, monthly trail rides, spaghetti feeds and dances just to name a few.

Again, welcome to our site and we hope you have an enjoyable visit and experience with us here at Sky's the Limit Horse Rescue. Please keep checking back as the site constantly under construction and will become more sophisticated as we progress.
