SAFER (Seacoast Area Feline Education and Rescue, Inc.) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to the well-being of homeless and feral cats and kittens in the New Hampshire Seacoast area. SAFER was organized in 1998 by a group of caring Seacoast residents and business owners concerned about the many abandoned cats in the area.
SAFER’s objective is to humanely trap, medically clear and spay or neuter these cats. We work to place adoptable cats in loving homes. Healthy cats that can't be tamed are released in the wild and cared for by SAFER volunteers.
SAFER’s objective also is to educate the public about responsible pet ownership and the importance of spaying and neutering pets.
