Scottsville Veterinary Adoptions, SVA, was formed in April of 1995 by Stephen Berghash, MS, DVM, and was granted non-profit 501(c)(3) status in March of 1996. Our goal was to develop an organization that excelled in the areas of pet acceptance, veterinary care delivery, pet sterilization, pet presentation for adoption and public education.
Our shelter is a 4000 square foot freestanding building located in a suburb southwest of Rochester, New York. Our facilities include a surgical suite, treatment and examination rooms, 3 kennel areas (including separate cat areas), isolation and intensive care units, and "get acquainted" adoption rooms.
