The Scotland County Humane Society is a non-profit organization dedicated to the stewardship of abandoned, lost, abused, impounded and surrendered animals in our community. Because of the extremely large volume of animals we take in each month, we are not afforded the luxury to safely place most, but for however long they are with us, they are treated with compassionate care and have a clean, warm place to stay. We believe the only long term solution to the overpopulation of dogs and cats is for EVERYONE to spay and neuter their animals, without exception.
