The Aryan Molossus
Once a Warrior, Today a Loyal Companion and a Family-Protector
Should you ever decide that you need a big dog, with an imposing posture, which can look threatening and majestic at the same time, the Aryan Molossus is definitely one breed that you must take into consideration.
The Armant
The Egyptian Dog with a Lot of Love to Give
To some of you, the Armant is better known as the “Egyptian Sheepdog” and, just as the name suggests it, it was bred to be a herding dog. However, in ancient times, it was used mostly as a guard dog. This breed is originally from Egypt and named after the town of Armant. Its loyalty and agility are the two main characteristics which make this dog special.
The Atlas Terrier
The Small Dog With a Massive Dose of Energy
At a glimpse, the Atlas Terrier can be easily mistaken with the Jack Russell Terrier. However, there are some differences that may help you tell these two cousins apart. Before deciding to buy or adopt a dog of this breed, there are some things that you have to take into consideration. Unfortunately, this is quite a rare breed of dogs in our days.
Anglos-Francaises de Petite Venerie
It Is Impossible Not to Love Them
Anglos-Francaises de Petite Venerie are the smallest dogs in the Anglos-Francais category. However, the name „Petite”, meaning „small”, is not at all referring to the size of the dogs, but to the game they are after. Even if they've been around since the 16th century, today, these dogs are not easy to find. So if you have decided to adopt one, you can be sure that you will have a unique pet.

Animal Shelter details for Save the Pets Please visit Save the Pets and adopt a homeless pet
You have reached the shelter page for Save the Pets. Save the Pets is located in sunrise, Florida. If you have information to add or update for Save the Pets, please click here and let us know.
Save the Pets, Inc. is a nonprofit, no-kill rescue group. This means that we do not kill pets to make room. We keep our pets until they are adopted into forever homes. This can takes days, weeks, months or lifetime!
We are all volunteers and we dedicate our love and time to helping as many rescued pets as possible. The majority of our pets come from local shelters before they are euthanized. The pets that we choose to rescue from the shelters are the ones who are literally waiting to die.
We are an all breed rescue and we do not discriminate against any breeds! Many times Save the Pets, Inc. takes in pets that can be extremely difficult to place. We specialize in placing power breeds in loving forever homes with responsible owners.
Please do not ask us to take your family pet. Other resources are available for those who must give up a pet. We work closely with the shelters to give unwanted pets the last chance they will ever have at life. We will always do our best to assist people who need help but please understand the life of your pet is in your hands.
Space only becomes available if we adopt pets or have foster homes available. Our goal is to have sanctuary in the near future so that we can rescue and place many more needy pets into loving homes.
The more help that we receive from the public, the more pets we can help. Please see our wish list for low cost and no cost ways to help need pets!
