Cats and dogs in our care are temporarily sheltered in foster homes offered by Save-A-Pet volunteers. Thanks to the generosity of contributors, our organization can provide foster homes with pet food, supplies, crates and veterinarian costs. Every animal is readied for adoption with a health check, basic innoculations, tests for life-threatening diseases, and spaying or neutering of all cats and dogs who are old enough. The foster families give the animals care and affection, socialization, and training that makes the pets more adoptable.
The animals remain safely in foster care until permanent adoptive homes are found through inquiries following our advertising, through our Pick-A-Pet Shows, or through the PetConnect television program.
