Save Our Strays was formed in 2002 to provide additional services to the community that local shelters may not be able to offer due to tight budgets and strained resources.
We believe that the current immense pet overpopulation problem affects everyone. Communities must work together to meet the needs of the animals and the people living within the community.
Save Our Strays is a LOCAL organization. We pay NO wages and all proceeds benefit local animals.
SOS is recognized by the IRS as a tax deductible non-profit organization under Section 501 (c) 3. We are organized in the State of Maine as a corporation and registered as an exempt charitable organization and are authorized to solicit charitable contributions
