The Aryan Molossus
Once a Warrior, Today a Loyal Companion and a Family-Protector

Should you ever decide that you need a big dog, with an imposing posture, which can look threatening and majestic at the same time, the Aryan Molossus is definitely one breed that you must take into consideration.

The Armant
The Egyptian Dog with a Lot of Love to Give

To some of you, the Armant is better known as the “Egyptian Sheepdog” and, just as the name suggests it, it was bred to be a herding dog. However, in ancient times, it was used mostly as a guard dog. This breed is originally from Egypt and named after the town of Armant. Its loyalty and agility are the two main characteristics which make this dog special.

The Atlas Terrier
The Small Dog With a Massive Dose of Energy

At a glimpse, the Atlas Terrier can be easily mistaken with the Jack Russell Terrier. However, there are some differences that may help you tell these two cousins apart. Before deciding to buy or adopt a dog of this breed, there are some things that you have to take into consideration. Unfortunately, this is quite a rare breed of dogs in our days.

Anglos-Francaises de Petite Venerie
It Is Impossible Not to Love Them

Anglos-Francaises de Petite Venerie are the smallest dogs in the Anglos-Francais category. However, the name „Petite”, meaning „small”, is not at all referring to the size of the dogs, but to the game they are after. Even if they've been around since the 16th century, today, these dogs are not easy to find. So if you have decided to adopt one, you can be sure that you will have a unique pet.

Richland County Friends of Animals, Inc. was incorporated in 1977 as a no-kill shelter and placement organization. We are 100% volunteer and non-profit (501 (c) (3), existing solely on donations and fundraisers. We have several adult and older cats looking for a lap to sit on, their very own bowl, and permanent human companionship. All of the cats are altered and current on their shots. We ask a $60.00 donation upon adoption for these cats. The adoption fee includes a final visit to our vet at which time they receive a rabies vaccination. These cats are all strictly indoor-only cats; they are not necessarily mousers. Adoption fee for dogs is $100.00. This includes a final check up and visit to our vet to insure that you are getting a healthy pet. We are also looking for foster caare until permanent homes are found... all you add is LOVE. We have a "Senior" adoption program for those over the age of 55 yrs old. You will receive a $10.00 discount. If you are over 55 and adopt a "senior" pet (8 yrs or older) you will receive an additional $10.00. Total of $20.00 saving in adoption fee. In addition, we are looking for volunteers to: Come out to the shelter and socialize with the cats. Bake and donate goodies for our fundraisers. Make and donate craft items for our fundraisers. Sponsor a "hard to adopt" pet. Monthly. quarterly or annual donation, and receive a picture and updates of your "NEW BEST FRIEND" We also accept and greatly appreciate donations to help us operate the shelter. If you would be interested in adopting, fostering, or volunteering, or would like more information, please call the shelter at 538-5483 (LET LIVE), or Mary at 647-2948, or Madonna 647-4340 We are located just north of Boaz. 3.2 miles north of the Boaz Country Store (on Cty Hwy E) Come Visit Us!
