The Aryan Molossus
Once a Warrior, Today a Loyal Companion and a Family-Protector

Should you ever decide that you need a big dog, with an imposing posture, which can look threatening and majestic at the same time, the Aryan Molossus is definitely one breed that you must take into consideration.

The Armant
The Egyptian Dog with a Lot of Love to Give

To some of you, the Armant is better known as the “Egyptian Sheepdog” and, just as the name suggests it, it was bred to be a herding dog. However, in ancient times, it was used mostly as a guard dog. This breed is originally from Egypt and named after the town of Armant. Its loyalty and agility are the two main characteristics which make this dog special.

The Atlas Terrier
The Small Dog With a Massive Dose of Energy

At a glimpse, the Atlas Terrier can be easily mistaken with the Jack Russell Terrier. However, there are some differences that may help you tell these two cousins apart. Before deciding to buy or adopt a dog of this breed, there are some things that you have to take into consideration. Unfortunately, this is quite a rare breed of dogs in our days.

Anglos-Francaises de Petite Venerie
It Is Impossible Not to Love Them

Anglos-Francaises de Petite Venerie are the smallest dogs in the Anglos-Francais category. However, the name „Petite”, meaning „small”, is not at all referring to the size of the dogs, but to the game they are after. Even if they've been around since the 16th century, today, these dogs are not easy to find. So if you have decided to adopt one, you can be sure that you will have a unique pet.

Our Mission and Goals

In one sentence : Provide a safe haven for all reptiles.

Now that is a huge undertaking, but as with all great things, it must start somewhere. We are not saying that we want to protect all reptiles to the extent that no one can have them as pets. We strongly believe that the best way to understand and respect the needs of reptiles is to directly care for them. It is very important (if not most important) to understand the behavioral needs of an animal and we do this through observation. One of the greatest ways to observe an animal is to care for it in your own home. Keep in mind however that not all reptiles are adaptable to home care and even those that are REQUIRE specific equipment and needs. This is where Goal #1 of our mission comes into play.

Goal #1 in short: Provide a central accessible location where people from around the world can find species specific information about reptiles in the following categories; Species Statistics, Biological Summaries, Behavioral Summaries, Home Care Sheets, and Identification Photographs. This location will be www.ReptileRescuers.com.

Goal #2 in short: Provide regional rescue/adoption services for reptiles and amphibians.

Goal #3 in short: Provide educational presentations about reptiles and amphibians both on-site and at our location to schools and clubs.

Goal #4 in short: Acquire a shelter in order to better serve our animals and communities.

Goal #5 in short: Provide natural habitats (out buildings from our center) for rescued and introduced reptiles and amphibians. Facilities will be used for research, observation and re-acclimatization to wild.

Goal #6 in short: Provide resources for repopulation of endangered species of reptiles and amphibians.

Goal #7 in short: Provide interactive internet education (schools, clubs, interest groups, etc..) around the world about reptiles and amphibians.
