Lynne Lerner is licensed by the Delta Society as a Pet Partner Animal Evaluator. She currently serves as the New York City Liaison for the Delta Society. Lynne lectures in the New York metropolitan area on the benefits of animal-assisted activity and therapy.
Lynne and her dog Woody, a shelter dog, were Delta Society Pet Partners for five and a half years. They made weekly visits to United Cerebral Palsy in New York City. After 9/11, Lynne and Woody volunteered at the Family Assistance Center in New York City through Delta Society's Pet Partner Program and the ASPCA. (Woody retired at the end of March 2005. He passed away 8 months later on Thanksgiving Day at the age of 14).
Prior to her current endeavors, Lynne spent over twenty years as an executive in the women’s apparel industry. Her expertise includes merchandising, marketing and advertising.
As an avocational project, Lynne wrote, produced and directed a television series dedicated to promoting historic preservation and education about art, architecture and antiques. The program received funding from a grant provided to the community by the National Endowment for the Arts.
