PURRS Naperville is a community based humane society focusing on cats. Most of our animals from other shelters or by referral. Our specialty is rescue, rehabilitation and rehoming with an emphasis on rehabilitation. Often we work with special needs animals that might otherwise be put down. Our goal is to be THE cat experts and resource in Naperville and surroundng towns. We partner heavily with other shelters and look to make a difference in the cat overpopulation problem. Our progress and goals will be published each year. PURRS was founded by Rachael Resk, a nationally known animal communicator and dog and cat behaviorist. We believe in the spaying and neutering of all animals. We believe that declawing is inhumane. We believe in the concepts of Trap Neuter Return . We believe that with education and action we can be a No Kill Nation. We believe in pushing for legislation to encourage the above We believe that cats and other pets increase the health of the people who chose to live with them as companions
