The Oak Ridge Humane Society is a community of people who believe that all life should be respected and whose mission it is to promote responsible treatment of animals and to be an advocate on their behalf. The society consists of members of the community, is represented by an all-volunteer board of directors, and works closely with the Oak Ridge Animal Shelter. The board of directors meets on the fourth Tuesday of each month at 7:00 p.m. The public is invited to attend. Meetings are currently being held at the United Way at 161 Robertsville Road.
