The Nodaway Humane Society is an animal shelter that is intended to house approx 100 animals but is always at approx 150-200. We take in abandoned & abused animals. At this time, being so over-crowded, we are unable to take owner releases but normally we strive to help in that way also. The goal, naturally, is to heal the ones that are ill or wounded & try to place them in the right home. We work with many rescue organizations who also go above & beyond to help us save our animals.
