ADOPT! El Paso is associated with No Kill El Paso, it's advocacy partner. ADOPT! El Paso's primary mission is to rescue, vet, train and adopt companion animals in the city of El Paso. Our rescues are strays, owner surrenders, and pulls from the El Paso Animal Services Shelter. ADOPT! El Paso is a foster based rescue and depends upon fosters to take in, care for and socialize animals for adoptions. Fosters assist by taking animals to Vet appointments, training and for showing at Adoption events. Our ability to provide assistance is based on availability of fosters.
No Kill El Paso advocates for the City to uphold it's 1999 Proclamation to become a No Kill City by December 2005. Yet, in 2012, the City still kills over 75 animals a day, many of which are adoptable, simply because they do not have the space, medical care or behavioral specialists to save them.
