If I am bitten how should I care for a dog bite?
* Always wash the dog bite with soap and warm water, try to get any dirt, saliva, or any other particles washed out of your wound.
* Apply pressure with a clean cloth or towel to the dog bite to stop any bleeding, if the bleeding does not stop within 15 minutes you should proceed to a doctors office or emergency room.

New England Basset Hound Rescue (NEBHR) was founded in 2001 by lovers of the breed who wanted to try to help the homeless, abandoned, and unwanted Basset Hounds of New England.
ImageNEBHR, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Everyone involved with NEBHR is on a volunteer basis only and members reside throughout New England.
We receive no financial compensation for our efforts. We all have jobs outside the home, have families, and other important commitments. We do Basset rescue because we want to help save homeless hounds and place them in good homes.
