Imagine you are taken out of your environment, from your family and friends and placed in a cage with barking dogs all around you. Your nice warm bed is no longer there e, and you feel absolutely alone, that everyone you have ever loved is gone and you don't know what is going to happen to you. This is how a lot of dogs and cats feel and are very scared. So please, look beyond their wagging tails and think just for a minute of some of the ones that are afraid and alone. If you were taken out of your environment, you would be scared too. A great dog or cat for you could be one of these animals. Please keep this in mind when you are there looking for the out-going dog. It only takes a few days for these animals to warm up and you may end up with the best companion ever.
