Missoula Animal Control is the county's animal control facility. Most of the strays and abandonned animals will become available for adoption if unclaimed by their owners. MAC also accepts owner surrendered animals for a fee.
The Humane Society of Western Montana is a private, non-profit facility which accepts owner surrendered, abandoned, and stray animals.
