The Aryan Molossus
Once a Warrior, Today a Loyal Companion and a Family-Protector

Should you ever decide that you need a big dog, with an imposing posture, which can look threatening and majestic at the same time, the Aryan Molossus is definitely one breed that you must take into consideration.

The Armant
The Egyptian Dog with a Lot of Love to Give

To some of you, the Armant is better known as the “Egyptian Sheepdog” and, just as the name suggests it, it was bred to be a herding dog. However, in ancient times, it was used mostly as a guard dog. This breed is originally from Egypt and named after the town of Armant. Its loyalty and agility are the two main characteristics which make this dog special.

The Atlas Terrier
The Small Dog With a Massive Dose of Energy

At a glimpse, the Atlas Terrier can be easily mistaken with the Jack Russell Terrier. However, there are some differences that may help you tell these two cousins apart. Before deciding to buy or adopt a dog of this breed, there are some things that you have to take into consideration. Unfortunately, this is quite a rare breed of dogs in our days.

Anglos-Francaises de Petite Venerie
It Is Impossible Not to Love Them

Anglos-Francaises de Petite Venerie are the smallest dogs in the Anglos-Francais category. However, the name „Petite”, meaning „small”, is not at all referring to the size of the dogs, but to the game they are after. Even if they've been around since the 16th century, today, these dogs are not easy to find. So if you have decided to adopt one, you can be sure that you will have a unique pet.

Experience-In the past I did some volunteering at my local Humane Society, I’ve worked at Humane Society’s throughout Michigan and I have worked as a Veterinary Assistant in two different Veterinary Clinics. As a child all I have ever wanted to do is help animals. While working and volunteering at the my local Humane society’s, I always felt like I could be doing more and so that is why I have started my own rescue group to help those unfortunate dogs find new homes. Our Mission-The purpose of the Mid-Michigan Pit Bull Rescue is to aid in the placement of stray and unwanted American Pit Bull Terriers and mixes thereof to organize and maintain a temporary shelter with procedures associated with the health, care and handling of the animal. We are a no-kill rescue shelter that wishes to educate the public on the issues attached to this breed such as, unnecessary breeding, cruelty organized dog fighting and the negative stereotypes that people have for Pit Bulls. At Mid-Michigan Pit Bull rescue we are devoted to rehabilitating and training these particular breeds until they can be managed and placed into new and loving homes by responsible individual’sfamily’s. Donations are a big part of a rescue. Adoption fees rarely cover the expenses involved in saving and caring for that animal. All money received by our organizationgroup is always applied directly towards the care and well-being of rescued animals. The money allows us to spayneuter, vaccinate, and feed dogs who have had a very difficult life before we rescued them and we use our funds up front for their care. Donations help ease that burden, and make it possible to save more lives. We rely on private donations and adoption fees to fund our rescue, which covers the cost of out-of-pocket expenses such as vet care, food, grooming, etc. We require an application for every pet, and if adopted, a signed contract and adoption fee, or comparable donation of foodpet suppliesetc, following adoption, we perform a 30-day and 6 month follow up, including veterinary reference check. We do NOT ship animals, but would be happy to help coordinate safe, reasonable transportation for the right home. We go to great lengths to try and help as many people as possible that need to re-home their pet. If you have found a dog and need our help, please consider making a donation if we are able to make space for the animal. The dog will cost at least $100 out of pocket to care for, so any help is appreciated. We are NOT tax exempt and do not plan on becoming tax exempt until we decide to become a much bigger rescue.
