The MEHS is a not-for-profit charitable organization dedicated to the prevention of cruelty to animals, the relief of suffering among animals, the provision of appropriate care and medical attention to and disposition of animals committed to its care, the extension of humane education, and the encouragement of animal population control.
It is our policy to provide humane care and treatment for all animals needing protection in the area served by the society, to seek to return lost animals to their owners, to seek suitable homes for animals without owners, and to provide euthanasia when necessary.
The MEHS is financially supported solely through the generosity of the public. The MEHS receive no financial support from taxes or from the government. Our financial survival depends on generous donations from humane members of the public like you.
