All of our featured pets' adoption fees includes spay/neuter and a rabies vaccination. If the pet you select is not yet spayed or neutered, an appointment is scheduled at one of our participating veterinarians. When you take your pet for his/her appt., the vet will return the certificate from our adoption form to verify that the animal has been altered. Young puppies/kittens are set up for appointments according to their age. Our vets give us a discount rate, but if you are adopting from outside our area, chances are that you may be unable to utilize the services of our local veterinarians for your pet's spay/neuter appointment. Therefore, we will try to make arrangements to see that your pet is spayed/neutered and vaccinated for rabies prior to adoption. All adoption applicants will be screened. In special circumstances we will exchange pets, but there are no monetary refunds. Please remember most shelter pets have led unstable, unpleasant, and often cruel existences before coming through our doors. Others are suffering from anxiety/insecurity because they miss their previous owner. We desperately want to find responsible homes for our pets, but before you make the decision to adopt, please be ready to commit yourself to a long and loving relationship. In return your pet will love, honor, and cherish you until death do you part!
