Lafayette Animal Aid is not an open access shelter. Because we do not kill for space, we have limited room for intakes. Intakes are based on number of animals that are adopted out. Adoption fees are what helps keep us operating. Please note that anyone relinquishing an animal to us will be asked for a voluntary donation to help us to continue in our work.

Due to the huge volume of unwanted pets in this area, Lafayette Animal Aid regrets that our shelter is full beyond capacity and are, at this time, unable to take any animals.
