Our volunteers at The Humane Society of Knox County work to get as many pound dogs rescued and adopted from the pound as possible. Stray dogs are only given 3 days for their owners to claim them, after that they can be put up for adoption. Owner surrenders (dogs brought to the pound by their owners) can be put up for adoption immediately. If the pound is at full capacity, dogs will not be kept. Please help us save these wonderful dogs by adopting!
