The Hunterdon Humane Animal Shelter of New Jersey is a private non funded organization dedicated to serving the urgent and critical needs of the animals in Hunterdon County. Our main mission is cruelty prevention. We are a voice for animal cruelty victims and investigate all cruelty complaints brought to our attention. We prefer to educate, but do prosecute all deliberate acts of cruelty.
We also have a shelter which serves as the only refuge for stray, sick, abandoned, or abused animals in the county. We have a no-kill policy and are devoted to giving the animals at the shelter plenty of attention, exercise, and care while they are with us, and ensuring they go to loving homes when they leave.
