The HSBH is the only major animal shelter west of the Missouri River in SD and receives animals from as many as 20 different counties. The HSBH shelters an average of more than 130 animals per week, and the number is growing at an alarming rate.
Community support through membership, donations, pet adoptions, volunteering and event participation is vital to our organization. Please consider supporting the HSBH.
